Course Instructor: Wendy Moyer
Email: wendy@pmoyer.org
Course Description:
This group will learn a variety of music – from classical to popular. Students should be prepared to perform both within and outside of the classroom. There is a Christmas concert as well as a spring concert in May. The choir may also be asked to perform twice a year at a nursing home. In addition to singing skills, this class will incorporate music theory and general music studies. There is a $10/semester fee to cover the cost of purchasing music.
Supplies needed for this course:
Students will need a 3 ring binder (with pockets) dedicated to this class, plain paper, a pencil and highlighters (yellow, pink and orange) each week.
Grading Information:
Students will be graded on four things: homework assignments, quizzes, performances, and their attendance and participation in class. Each of these items will represent one-fourth of their final grade.
Grading Scale: Students will be give a percentage grade.
Guidelines for Success:
- Class participation: Students will demonstrate participation by answering questions, participating in music listening/performing and completing class work.
